Yep this was wonderful .while we are not full timing we do rv eight months out of twelve. 22x8 feet equals 176 square feet. Yep this book is part of the solution.

Huge Waste of Money and Time

I should have stopped when I saw this in the first paragraph: "All over America, people or adopting the idea that less is more and opting out of large mortgages on huge houses and not purchasing that luxury vehicle." But no, I thought maybe that was the one that got through the cracks...
Then there was this: "It could provide everything they needed along with stability that every child needs."
And this: "The market for tiny homes is growing and changing daily, as people begin to realize, that life can be lived to its fullest without the headache and baggage that comes from living on a much larger scale."
And this: "(available are propane fireplaces built specifically for tiny homes that works amazingly!)"
And: "When finishing your new home you may choose to use materials that are not only durable but and inexpensive."
And one of my favorites: "Your tiny home should be relatively inexpensive and easy to incorporate into your home." That is just a small sampling of the errors in this short book.
I MAY have been able to look past all the grammar mistakes if the book had been a fabulous resource, but alas, I was again disappointed. Have you googled "tiny homes?" If yes, then there is no need for this book. It is simply a (bad) rehash of everything you can find on a handful of websites on the subject.
Even worse, the author must think we not only know zero about tiny homes, she must also think we're idiots. "Whatever your preference may be just remember that the toilet is something you will use every day and you will want it as comfortable and convenient as your lifestyle requires." Wow, I hadn't thought of that!
"You will ideally pick what is most affordable, fits your floor plans best and provides you with what you need." Ooh, that's smart.
"Refrigerators come in various shapes and sizes, so make sure you shop around and make a purchase that will fit your floor plan and your lifestyle without taking up to much space." I could hardly focus on that gem, what with the glaring grammatical error.
"Make sure that you have the trailer properly secured to the hitch before you begin for travel." I'm so glad that was mentioned, I surely would have forgotten to do it.
"Once you have chosen your floor plan you will need to gather all required materials for construction of your new tiny home." So that's the order of things!
"If you decide to incorporate a loft and ladder system into your home, make sure that it is functional and feasible to use, as it could be in use every day." Now that's thinking smart!
"You can plant all of your fruits and vegetables as they come into proper season, by properly harvesting and storing your crop you can have one fruit or vegetable in an assortment of ways." I hadn't realized the ability to eat a fruit or vegetable more than one way relied on when it was planted...
But one of my favorite ideas was this: "If you choose to travel with your tiny home you will be free from worry of eviction or foreclosure, because you can just hitch it to your vehicle and move it anywhere you want!" Basically, screw any payments you may be making on the land you are parked on, or on the home itself. No need to fret, just drive away from that debt!
My final thoughts are this - if you are a barely literate idiot who has never heard of the internet, then this is the book for you. And remember, "Minimalizing your wants to accommodating your needs may be a tough thing to conquer, but if we as a society continue to live beyond our means, we will all be in financial ruin."

Simple overview of reasons for choosing a tiny home and some practical suggestions for doing so. Having lived in a tiny home (about 200 square feet for a family of four) way before it was cool, it's interesting to see the idea gain popularity. Impossible Beyond This Point: True Adventure Creating a Self-Sufficient Life in the Wilderness tells of a family of five that shared a 12x12 shack for several years. Now that is tiny home living in the extreme!
