I CAN do this!

LOVE this book. It totally encourages me to try raising chickens, from eggs!
We have turkeys every year but this year, maybe chickens!
Cath, the author, obviously knows her stuff but writes in a simple, easy to
understand way,.. especially for me who hasn't done this, YET!
Just reading this gives me confidence... simple things like if the egg doesn't
hatch at 21 days, give it time. She explained the how and why too. I'm the
type that wants an explanation to logically "get it" and this books does that.
Good, easy to read book, that really answers a lot of questions on Raising
Happy Chickens!

This book is so thorough and easy to follow

This book is so thorough and easy to follow. I really like how the questions are organized into five sections so that the information flows well in sequence and stays connected by topic. The organizational format is consistent through the book which also makes the information presented very easy to follow. The author begins each of the twenty-one questions with an explanation to put the question into context, then adds the actual question asked by a reader, the problem that needs to be addressed, and the author's answer.
The information on hatching chickens is presented in a very thorough manner. Cath Andrews, the author, has a unique voice which shows her personality and which also imparts lots and lots of wisdom through her experiences hatching chickens. In my opinion, you can't do better than this helpful guide for successfully hatching your chicks.

Breaking down and explaining these 21 most commonly asked questions about hatching is a great resource for me and gives me the confidence to begin hatching my own happy chickens. I love the photos and the tone of the book, I felt like I was having a cup of coffee with the author. I found this an easy read, written for a beginner like I am, rather than filled with scientific terminology for a veterinarian. I found tons of useful tips, so now I’m going to reread it again and take detailed notes.
