About the Author
Jay Hemdal has been an avid marine aquarist for over 45 years and set up his first marine aquarium when he was nine years old. He worked part time for many years at various local retail pet stores and fish wholesale companies while he was living at home and later at college. After graduating from college, he managed the aquarium department of a large retail pet store for five years until 1985, when he was hired as an aquarist/diver (and later department manager) for the John G. Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. In 1989, he accepted the position of curator of fishes and invertebrates for the Toledo Zoo, where he still works today. Jay has written over 150 magazine articles and six previous books since 1981.

This is a down-to-earth guide on some basic health issues of marine fishes. Any marine hobbyist who really cares about their fishes should buy this and learn the correct way to diagnose problems, and select and apply treatments. Learn from a real professional fishkeeper, not the quacks that clog the internet with bad information.
